About Us

The Royal Society of Biology is a single unified voice for biology: advising Government and influencing policy; advancing education and professional development; supporting our members, and engaging and encouraging public interest in the life sciences. The Society represents a diverse membership of individuals, learned societies and other organisations.

Individual members include practising scientists, students at all levels, professionals in academia, industry and education, and non-professionals with an interest in biology. In addition, we represent Member Organisations including learned societies, corporate bodies, councils, schools and colleges.

Whether you have a professional or personal interest in biology, there are many ways to get involved with the Royal Society of Biology, including through membership, local events, grants, competitions, and Biology Week.

The Royal Society of Biology is a charity (Charity No. 277981), and is incorporated by Royal Charter. The opinions expressed in the Royal Society of Biology Blog are those of the author, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Royal Society of Biology.

We welcome submissions for guest blog posts. If you are interested in finding out more please contact media@rsb.org.uk

Hi there. I was wondering if you could let your readers know about a new site we’ve launched at dorothyhodgkin.com – celebrating her life and contribution to science. Any publicity would be great! Thanks in advance,

    Neil
