Podcast: what is science?

Posted by on January 7, 2014

What does science mean to you? Before Christmas, three members of the Society of Biology team, Rebecca Nesbit, Penny Fletcher and David Urry, gave their perspectives on the question ‘what is science?‘ for a new podcast.

‘Citizen science’, where members of the public contribute to scientific experiments, has been happening for centuries. But there is an increasing recognition of its value both to science and to ‘citizens’. Do full-time research scientists, citizen scientists, and professionals working with citizen science?

The podcast was produced and presented by Julie Gould and supported by the Citizen Cyberlab and is the first in a series which explores what science means to different people.
